I don’t get it! Why do people pay to put hydraulics on cars.. so they can watch them bounce? Why do today’s people pull their pants down to their ankle and walk around with their underwear hanging out?
It’s like wiping your butt before you poop, it doesn’t make any sense.
I must be getting old
John,
Cultural differences are often displayed in dress, cuisine, and recreation.
I have no doubt that the aficionado of hydraulics would find your enthusiasm for monster trucks and chicken feet puzzling.
Leisure time is discretionary time before or after compulsory activities such as eating and sleeping, going to work or running a business, attending school and doing homework, household chores, and day-to-day stress. The distinction between leisure and compulsory activities is loosely applied, i.e. people sometimes do work-oriented tasks for pleasure as well as for long-term utility.
This is certainly the case with monster trucks, tractor pulls, mud bogs, etc., which evolved from daily use of trucks and other utilitarian vehicles in working environments.
The droopy trousers are more difficult to explain. [G]
